New Pakistan International School (“NPIS”) was established in 1997/98 in collaboration with Kuwait Establishment for Education Services.
NPIS started with 500 students, 25 qualified faculty members, and 17 sections. In the following years, the school has steadily grown and the number of students increased to 2,345 students from about 29 nationalities in 2008/09.
NPIS has the capacity to accommodate 2,500 students.
NPIS is recognized by the Ministry of Private Education, Government of Kuwait. It is affiliated with the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education in Islamabad, Pakistan.
NPIS follows the Oxford Curriculum from Kindergarten to class 8. Thereafter students can opt for either IGCSE system or the Federal Board for Secondary and Higher Secondary classes.
NPIS works in affiliation with Cambridge University to conduct the IGCSE examination . The standard of IGCSE curriculum is maintained by the school and, as a result, the school has attracted students from Pakistan as well as the Arab community, resulting in a significant increase in the number of students within a short period of time.
