Curriculum Development

In a changing world, Al Rayan is committed to continuous development in different areas especially curriculums, which must change so that our children’s skills can cope with our challenging world. Al Rayan holds the burden of adopting and offering the latest curriculums and techniques applied in advanced countries, for example, two of Al Rayan Managed Schools namely, Kuwait International English School and International British School have fully adopted the new Primary Curriculum for England to enable our children to enjoy this remarkable stage of their childhood and develop the knowledge, skills and understanding which are the main blocks for secondary education and later life.

The two schools have another area of development in relation to the Assessment of the Notional Curriculum Levels (NC Levels) as the assessment process is an essential part of the curriculum.

The new NC Levels help develop successful learners by identifying strengths and areas for development and finding ways for children to make progress. It is designed especially to identify and anticipate the children’s needs which lead to improved skills and abilities. This new system of assessment will encourage parents to play a part in the learning experience of their children.

The main approach for achieving this is to provide a view of the whole child and an individual profile of achievements for each child.
